Katherine Hale Burton

Senior Litigation Consultant

Katherine Hale Burton is a Senior Litigation Consultant at RLM | TrialGraphix and is based in the Chicago office. Katherine works with attorneys and expert witnesses to develop persuasive visual concepts to aid judges and juries in understanding complex issues. She has consulted on product liability, intellectual property, environmental, and antitrust matters.

Katherine’s approach is to create powerful informational graphics that are conducive to a client’s presentation style. She leads teams in the production of concept storyboards, key illustrations, animations and presentation demonstratives for briefs, hearings, mock trials and trials.

With over 20 years experience, Katherine has contributed to over 100 engagements nationally, offering both high and low-tech solutions for all phases of trial. She has been involved in Bayer Baycol’s serial product liability litigation since 2003, including Haltom v. Bayer Corp. (2003), the first Baycol case. She is also on the national team for the Bayer YAZ defense. Other notable cases include: Steven Thomas v. NL Industries, et al., a multi-defendant lead poisoning case; and Apple v. HTC, an intellectual property case.

Katherine attended two colleges at University of Michigan – the School of Art & Design and the College of Literature, Science and Arts and holds a B.A. in History.
